As much as this book is a memoir / "a n author's journey" it is very informative and the author references other sources to help drive the narrative.  The last part lost me a bit after the author gets married, but it still explores her desire and how it continues to change.

This book is listed as a memoir, but it doesn’t feel right to call it that. The author tends to tell a story, then analyze the experience with feminist theory. The placement of quotes is jarring.
Although I was /am resistant to the addition of academic content dropped into a memoir, the quotes are so good. I found myself highlighting and sharing the best ones for friends.
The irony is that my favorite part of the book was the last 100 pages—when she had married a man and lived a much less adventurous sexual lifestyle! Her love for her husband oozes off the page.
I guess what I’m saying here is the editor did a poor job…

Definitely recommend the audio for this one. This is a super unique book and I really enjoyed it, so much that I didn't want it to end.
