This book was a journey! From the moment Maggie Grey steps onto the campus of Drew Collins University, I was hooked. The world-building is really blending magic, mystery, and history in a way that feels both fresh and immersive.
Maggie is the perfect character to take us into this world. She’s completely unaware of the magical realm she’s just stepped into and is trying to make sense of her place in it, all while navigating the complexities of life. Her struggles to understand what she is and why she’s different make her journey both relatable and compelling.
And let’s not forget the secrets! The deeper Maggie digs, the more questions arise—about herself, the university, and the hidden forces at play. The pacing is revealing just enough to keep you intrigued without giving everything away at once.
If you love stories with rich mythology, magical academies, and a protagonist who’s just as lost as we are in the beginning, The Secret World of Maggie Grey is a must-read. I’m so ready to see what happens next in this series!

I really enjoyed this book! I'm loving the different POVs. I'm enjoying the way the story is unfolding and bits and pieces of truths are being dropped in while things are happening. Its all so good, everytime I picked this book up it felt like I was delving back into a great show. With plots and subplots. Entire book made me feel like oh shit what's about to happen with them now...can't belive how this one ended i have tons of speculations right now and can't wait to dive into book 2 next!

I’m not one for fantasy or books with magical beings. The last time I read a book with creatures was Twighlight. That over 10 years ago in high school. But Maggie Grey is amazing! The students at Drew Collin’s has to put a spell on this book because it was impossible not to think about. I love all the characters, besides Clementine. I love the relationships. The dialogue is hilarious. I love everything about this book!!!

This one was good. I loved the concept of ALL Black supernaturals, a whole school, a whole magical world just for us. And where the primary antagonist isn't even white people or racism. It may be a form of classism against each of the different species of supernaturals, but there aint no scary white character taking away from the story- we can be our own worst enemies, when we should be standing united in our shared experiences we let minor differences- water creatures, shifters, witches, vampires- keep us separated. Whem at the end of the night we all party the same anyway, so why bother.
It's good. I wish it was edited better. I hope I can find an re-edited second edition when the next book comes out.
