This is a fun and funny sci-fi book with werewolves, vamps, sirens and more magical people. My fave part is that they’re all black! I love magic and all of that with an HBCU as the backdrop. The world building is done very cleverly and by the end you’re invested in all of the main character POVs. 

My one drawback was the constant switching in POVs.

This book really sucked me in, even though I wasn’t expecting it to. The bonds formed, dialogue, and lives of the characters are relatable and entertaining. Just enough mystery and unknown to keep it all interesting. I can see this series having soooo many books.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The HBCU atmosphere is nice and refreshing. I'm eager to see how things unfold for Maggie and Namir. There are so many questions lingering, and I can't wait to read the second book.
