OMG THE GRAMMATICAL ERRORS & DESCRIPTIONS OF SCENES HAD ME LIKE WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!
After 60% everything got on my nerves…Asha’s attitude, the typos, sentences not making sense, the ebook not having actual chapters, the physical copy not having LITERAL page numbers…like WTF BRO?!!
The only positive thing that I thoroughly enjoyed to the very last page was Quan.

This book was very entertaining. It had me laughing so hard that I cried actual tears and I was invested in the story/characters. I enjoyed this book.
I'm rating this a 4.25 for a few reasons.
1. The writing wasn't great, and by that I mean the grammatical errors. The misspelled words (not the slang because, duh, it's slang lol). Example: "messages" when it was meant to be massages.
2. There was a slightly weird pacing done with the romance. An intense hate turned into a nose in a crotch really quickly.
3. The constant over explaining of the characters clothing. It took me out of the moments taking place.
4. Hillary going from 0 to 100 was pretty unrealistic.

dnf for a few reason
- there were so many different povs thrown at me in the beginning of the book and because there was so much back and forth I couldn’t form some kind of connection w the characters
- umm the amount of rape/sexual assaults that happen in such a few chapters is…..???? like souxie and her dad(?) the way he talks to her and treats her is just ?????
-I like the concept of a magical world mixed with black culture, but I don’t think it was written as well as it could’ve been :(
- I really was excited to read this but maybe it just not for me :(( i’ll try again another time
