This is one of my top books from granger. I enjoy her creative writing style and the different point of views of her characters. I feel like it's a tv show but in a book. There are some elements of Harry Potter in different scenes. Just a heads up don't go into the book with the expectations of it being like Harry Potter. If you're big on grammar mistakes within a book it's quite a few🥴……for me it doesn't take away from the book. I would like to know more of the backstory of Souxie, Quan, and Isis. Quan is my favorite character because of that slick mouth, lol. There is a scene in the story where she reference characters from her other books…very nostalgic. The end...pffffff definitely had me blown. Will be reading book two ASAP.

I really liked it, only half way did I even realized I’ve read a series by this author (Hoodwinked). I was so happy to see some old characters sprinkled in and loved how it all came together. I’m used to her complicated relationships and that’s why I had to take some points off. Because the romance wasn’t my taste. But I can appreciate how she resolves the relationships to make it feel natural that they end up together no matter the conflict. I can’t say I love every choice of guy though. The professor especially. He just creeps me out personally. I hope ole girl knows what she’s doing. But I really like Namir and Maggie. And what’s so funny is I didn’t at the beginning. And I feel bad for Hilary, but low-key that hoe was annoying lol. But I’m glad she didn’t die a virgin at least. She had a fun experience so good on her. Going to read the next one right awayyyyyy!!!

I really liked the premise of this book. I will say that the grammatical errors were quite distracting! I appreciate the fact that the author used this book to do some world building, but the constant introduction of new characters made it difficult to care about them at all.
