in the beginning i was having such a good time reading this book. it had sooo much potential but i quickly realized that we weren’t really getting anywhere with anywhere with any of the character’s story lines.
i’m invested at this point so i’ll be reading the second book and hopefully that ties up most of the lose ends left in this one.

I love this book. I immediately went into book 2. Book one leaves you with a cliffhanger so you kinda need to read book 2, but I love all the mysterious creatures and the that in the mysterious world.

I really liked the idea of this book. It’s the first book I have read in a couple months, so it definitely had me hooked…
It was a little hard to believe that people in their late twenties dealt with college kids bullshit. But maybe navigating that you’re a magical being is different.
I really liked the “blackness” of it all. I did not enjoy the inappropriate relationships.
I wish that I would have known that it was a murder mystery from the beginning haha.

I love the story and the concept of the book, but if I’m being completely honest, I hate the multiple points of view. I think I would enjoy the story a lot more if it was max three points of view. I think all the additional points of views are unnecessary and don’t add to the value of the story. I do plan on continuing the series because I enjoy the concept of the story.
