I absolutely loved this book. Granted it’s not as deep plot ways, on some of her more memorable books, or even books I generally gravitate to. But I absolutely enjoyed it. The book drew me in with the characters. I liked how Lou was just a regular girl, and even plus sized. She had to learn to learn to be comfortable in her own skin. And just loved Abel, how he was with Lou.. her friends his family. The Epilogue tied everything up but was just a quick fun read.

I really found this book enjoyable, the mail characters were perfect and complemented each other well. Lou is a smart, strong, sassy, confident woman who has the occasional insecurity slip up and get to use but overall she was comfortable with who she was and comfortable in her own skin. She is in search of a new roommate and as date would have it she gets Abel, the sexy jock who is known all over campus by his antics. Those so called antics couldn’t be further from the truth because he is deep down, a sweet, kind, loving guy with impeccable manors. They had intense chemistry that was off the charts. I laughed so much at this book and could totally relate to Lou I’m so many levels especially her love for food. Great Read!

I absolutely loved this rom com and its not normally the genre I read but it came recommended to me.
I loved Lou and her spunkiness as well as her bestie. Abel was swoon worthy and loved the little surprise half way in the book (sorry, not sorry I won't tell that spoiler).
This book was just so heart felt and exactly what I needed coming off of a very intense read. I loved it so much I will be getting a physical copy of it.

I guess I’m just not a rom com type of person. It seemed like everyone else found this book to be hilarious, and I can see why, but it just didn’t hit the nail on the head for me. It wasn’t my sense of humor, but I can still appreciate the effort.
It’s something different from Micalea that just wasn’t for me.
But damn can she write perfect book boyfriends. I still liked the story but Abel really made the book worth finishing. No matter what I loved seeing their happily ever after.
Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a rom com though.

I don’t know if “aggressively mediocre” does this book justice. Perhaps straight up “shit” is more fitting.

FMC Lou is so self-obsessed that it’s almost unbearable, and she and Abel seem so two dimensional that I just don’t see any point in continuing on.

This was a sweet story! I loved general idea of “I never saw you coming” that was woven throughout. I really liked both MCs, and while I appreciated the fat rep, I could’ve done without the obscene number of times Lou and Miranda talked about food. It IS possible to be fat and to NOT be constantly thinking/talking about food.

Besides that, I did really enjoy the story. It was sweet and steamy, and I absolutely ADORED the author’s voice-reading this was like talking to a friend.

I’ve read a couple by this author and really enjoyed them in fact the wildflower series are my 2 favourite books of this year so far. This one fell flat unfortunately I just couldn’t warm to the main character Lou and another thing that annoyed me was yes the mc was supposed to be plus size which was great we need more plus size or more relatable characters but I felt the references to food all the time was kinda unnecessary and felt forced

Super cute and sweet, had me giggling away to myself like a crazy person at parts too. So nice to read a book with a lot of body positivity within it too from a plus-size girl.

Desperately Seeking Roomate was a fluffy, fun read. The hero is a sweet and sexy, college athlete. The heroine is a short and curvy, sassy woman. Their story is adorable. Reading this book will make you feel like you’re walking on sunshine.

I voluntarily read an early copy.
