If you're a fan of second chance romances then this book is for you. After breaking up and not seeing each other for four years, Cope is assigned as a bodyguard to his ex, professional surfer Serena Swift. My heart was so full after reading this book. I seriously loved this couple.⠀

I truly felt in my core that Cope and Serena belonged together. Their chemistry was explosive. The banter, sexual tension, forced proximity... guys this book had everything. The surfer aspect was fun to read about, although it did have my heart racing at times.⠀

Memories are sprinkled in so we can feel the heat and love between them from all those years ago. I appreciated when they finally started communicating with each other about their painful past.⠀

Serena stood up for what she believed in and I admired how courageous she was. The suspenseful element was perfectly woven in with the romance. ⠀

This book was amazing! It’s a beautiful story about grief, about heartbreak, about loss, about love, about doing the right thing. It was clear from the start that Cope and Serena still had a very strong bond, and I loved how the flashbacks to their past was mixed in to the chapters. It made it more and more clear how their lives were before and what happened between them.

Steam: 3.5/5 (couple steamy descriptive scenes)

If you are looking for a second-chance romance filled to the BRIM with mutual-pining and angst, look no further!

I liked this, but it is not going to be one of my go-to's. I honestly spent more time while reading this book going down deep Youtube rabbit holes on Nazare surfing than thinking about this couple, but hey, I guess that means it got me feeling something.

What an exceptional, progressive, plot-perfect book! I took my time reading this, getting into Serena and Cope’s minds and hearts. They were perfect together. Their healing journey with each other, wow. The pining, the slow burn, the angst. Then, there was the side plot with Aerial. I love the investigative part of the book.

Each character was amazing. Caleb. Dora. Kalei. Prue. Helen. QUENTIN. All these people who loved Serena and Cope so much they didn’t harbour any ill-feelings when they separated.

And we see Serena’s fight for equality. To bring women to higher status than being a sex object and pretty face. Her bold and brave personality, empowering every women and girl she met. I’m in love with her.

Nicely done!

Another great romantic story from Kathryn Nolan, with enough suspense and second chances!

I loved Cope and Serena from the very first page. their story is like no other. I have never read a similar storyline like theirs. So I was really intrigued and into their story throughout the book. I kept on getting curious about how their story is going to turn out. Because of how they ended up in the present, there's a lot of heat and chemistry still sizzling between them. They truly were meant to be together.

This comes highly, highly recommended from me! I loved how their story went about and ended at such a perfect ending.

First of all, when I first saw the blurb for this book… I screamed because I knew I needed this story.

And Kathryn delivered in a way that exceeded every expectation I thought I had. You are sucked into this story from the very start, wanting and needing to know what happens next.

Cope and Serena are explosive and dynamic. These two lit my kindle on fire and it was only the waves from the ocean that put it out. These two will have you falling in love with them over and over again.

Serena has definitely secured her spot in one of my top favorite heroines EVER and I’m not even mad about it. It’s going to be really hard to surpass her level of greatness.

Kathryn builds her characters with finesse that will have you feeling like they are real people and you’re watching their story unfold in front of you in real time.

Five stars for this captivating story that had me on the edge of my seat from the very start and had me crying when it was all said and done because I wasn’t ready to let it go.
