Decent Enough
This book kept up the momentum from the previous one. The crime they were trying to solve was interesting. The connection between the current criminal and the one already in prison was an unexpected twist. When they solved it and confronted the killer, I was annoyed with his confession. It was silly and overdramatic. Cate came off as very whiny in this installment. I was tired of her angst and self-doubt. Overall, it was pretty good. Definitely better than the first few books.

Another installment of murder and mystery solved in less than 100 pages. I still need more Logan!

I love this series of novellas and the characters. Cate has left the FBI, but when a case from her past resurfaces on Widow's Island she's drawn in. All the suspense you expect from Kendra Elliot in a short satisfying read.
