What I liked about this book — lots of good steam, there was good communication between the MCs and no 3rd act breakup.

What I didn’t like about this book was— OMG it wouldn’t end! Would you believe I DNF’d at 98%? I was over it already at that point. This book could have been 30% shorter and it would have been much more enjoyable. Also, the whole intrigue part was bananas bonkers. It made zero sense.

Still, it was a fun enough read. My advice is to skim when you get bored, you won’t miss anything.

This has been one of my favorite books, and it became even better in audio! Liam did an amazing job bringing the bratty Mercer to life and Gabriel did soooo good as Blake. I already want to Re-Listen to this book!

Mercer is such a brat and I love it! From the very beginning, I knew Mercer was going to be trouble. His need for attention but playing it off like he didn’t need anybody and just causing havoc for Blake was so obvious he wanted Blake for himself.

It was such a great story. I was so sad to hear the backstory or what really was going on with his family.  This was a little twisty because I was expecting Blake’s family to have more drama with the secrets that his father was keeping.  I’m trying to be vague because I don’t wanna spoil anything.

But the banter that goes on in this book was so great like especially between Dee and Mercer. OMG it was hilarious. But what also got me with all the connections like Aaron and Kaila, Kaila’s brother and Dee. Brandt and Aaron oh my God, it never ends. That was so much fun trying to figure all that out and get that put together.

Nordika Night never disappoints and I am just so glad that she’s getting her books put on audio because her stories are just great that it makes it a lot more fun when they’re brought to life by amazing narrators.
