I was really excited for this book because the first was so good. Unfortunately the romance, plot, and editing issues made this one fall a little flat. Still love this world and Rooke, so I’m hopeful the 3rd will bring back some of the magic of the first one

This was a confusing one. Nothing really happens and still, I can’t wait to read the next?
Soren didn’t grovel enough in my opinion. The character death that is revealed at the very end of the book was extremely disappointing and ruined the whole series for me.
Typos galore in this one! It really takes you out of the story at times when you have to reread a sentence 5x and decide whether your brain is broken or the editor decided not to clock in that day

I loved it.
I saw lots of character development, respect forming, finally some slowburn 😍
The plot was good enough for me to not need the romance.
I liked how they warmed up to each other although i think it should have taken them a bit longer still, and the transition a bit better. Soren was insufferable with his possessiveness 😅
I did see a lot of grammar mistakes in the epub 😬
Also wtf the ending (the assai of her father) had me almost bawling and then we learn that her brother has been dead for 5 fucking years??!
Also what is up with rhosh and rooke? Are their fates aligned somehow?
It seems so easy to win the war now with these bloodwyrd witches, which makes the ultimate battle less exciting.
