Loved it and worth the wait!
J Bree has a way with words and it just pulls you in. I loved meeting new characters and exploring more of the world with Rooke and Soren.
And man, when enemies become lovers... is my favorite part.
Rooke is still a badass boss and she is becoming one of my top favorite female main characters. The patience she has with everyone who doesn't understand her or her coven.
Soren is possessive and broody. I enjoyed his growth in himself and also with his relationship with Rooke. His change of heart in this book is so worth it.

There’s something about J. Bree’s writing that just works for me. It’s well thought out and smart without feeling pretentious at all. I continue to love Rooke and think she’s just the most lovely FMC who deserves the world. This is certainly a true enemies to lovers, and I love the tension of tiptoeing to lovers in this book, but I am missing an aspect of friendship. We went from hating each other to wanting to bone each other but we didn’t really get a ton of true, positive bonding time. I would also love to see a bit more of the side characters, as Soren is a bit of a boring square so I need a little sass or humor.
There are A LOT of errors in this book. It does not feel like it was finished draft by any means and absolutely needed some more editing, as the errors were frequent throughout the book. The story is a 4 for me, but dropping it down to a three due to the sheer amount of errors that were impossible to ignore.

Okay even though this was 100% a lot of filler. I still enjoyed it! It was interesting to watch Rooke and Soren figure out their bond. And I enjoyed it wasn’t rushed. I will say that ending was a cliff hanger and I need updates on book 3 ASAP!

third the ending got kinda confusing and the plot twist bullshit she pulled is making me freak out because now i want this third book out because im gonna go crazy
