How can this book be BETTER than the first?! I am in love with this series and it breaks my heart it’s not completed. I knew this when I started it and yet I wouldn’t go back and change a thing.
Rooke and Soren will have a piece of my heart forever.
That ending though?! What the heck J Bree! My heart can’t take the wait! It was equally beautiful and heart wrenching.
Edit: I am adding this after reading some of the reviews and I am heartbroken nonetheless. I don’t think this book deserves the hate- I understand everyone is able to have their own opinions though. I personally LOVE the way that J Bree wrote the story and I don’t think it was dragging in the slightest. I was on the edge of seat for every chapter. I can’t wait for the third book!

First, I admit I had a very narrow expectation of the grovel. J. Bree took it to a different level or should I say to another way of grovelling. Which is not bad at all, but! Did the author had second thoughts and change things at last moment? J Bree clearly knows how to tell a story, so I hope she didn't felt forced to change things just because of a few readers.
Our Rooke, our fave witch, shown us how a full grown woman also lowers the walls to her heart, even when it hurts just to watch. Specially with that cliff-hanger! If we thought she was the greatest, now she is the strongest in all ways possible.
Soren... you had it coming. But I do not know if I should be happy or upset with J Bree. Like... you make us like Soren with this entire book... for him to ... on the next book? Damn!
