Sheets is a cute graphic novel that dives into the depths of grief along with seeing the other side of death in a more playful and comforting manner.

I loved the idea of creating a graphic novel that is all about death and grief while making it easier for readers to swallow with colorful artwork and a very cute ghost.

Although this is a very cute way of talking about some serious topics and I will be reading the rest of the series, I do not feel like this is a story that will be sticking with me for a long time. Maybe if I was younger I would have been more entranced with Marjorie and her journey of finding Wendell, but nonetheless, I think this is a fantastic little series to help people come to terms with the idea of death and grief and begin accepting it.

This was really cute! The art work was gorgeous, all the blues and pink looked beautiful, especially the scenes of just city streets. It took me a couple of months of just randomly picking this up during downtime at work but I'm keen to read the second one.

4.5/5 ⭐️ This will be the pettiest reason I doc a book for, I'm so sorry! …I hated the way the noses were drawn (please don't hate me). Other than that:

Another cutie patootie graphic novel! This one had some more somber themes as well including grief and loss, bullying, and yearning to belong. Our MC is a pre-teen girl that is running her family's laundromat after her mom tragically passed away and her father fell into depression because of it. I expected this to be much more lighthearted that it actually was, but I'm not mad about it! These ghosts are ADORABLE! I can't wait to read book 2!
