Everything thing that was fun about the book before this one was missing in this one. And I was looking forward to grumpy hero too. I love a good grumpy hero.
All my complaints are addressed below. But just too many annoying troupes or science/plot holes for me to enjoy this one.
Spoiler
The hero was a dick, and just tole Hanna they'd go back to his planet and by the end she was like Okay, even though we haven't talked about it really.
He convinced her he was alien by showing her his red penis. :/ Nothing else worked, but red penis did.
She was an "orphan" who wasn't really a orphan now, because she was an early 23 or something that had been raised by her grandparents who had died two years previously and she had had to "grow up quick", in her early 20's...
And Hannah of course is freakin virgin who's waiting for "the ONE", and Herriot kind of is because he's only done oral. So it doesn't count? :/
And it's not really addressed or brought up in the previous book, but I guess having penetrative sex with your truemate keep the dudes from having a flush ever again, but nothing else will. But how does his dick know it's inside her lady parts vs her mouth. Alien smart penis I guess.

Fun easy read

I tried this one after reading Ruby Dixon companion novella. The writing style wasn’t my favourite but I enjoyed the quick fun read

I am sorry to say that I did not like the Hero. He bulldozed over the heroine demanding what he wanted with no listening, dialogue or concessions. This was made even more of a turnoff because the set up was perfect for him to be able to lovingly convince her to his view instead of demanding and sexing her to it.

I'm not entirely sure that all of the entertainment I derived from this was intentional and it was rather forgettable. I've read worse, waaay worse recently, but it just wasn't that engaging.
