I wasn't really sure what to expect when I jumped into this book, I honestly picked it up from cover appeal. This book had a lot of good twists and I thoroughly enjoy Nesbo's writing, I will definitely be picking up his other novels.

I generally love the Harry Hole books, but this standalone was pretty meh. Not BAD but not nearly as good as the series.

I've been wanting to read Nesbo for a while now but haven't been able to get ahold of the first book in the series so figured I'd start with this stand alone.
I did find the motive behind Greve's actions a little unbelievable, but once I got over that, it was certainly a page-turner with plenty of twists.

Η αλήθεια είναι πως το συγκεκριμένο βιβλίο του Nesbo με άφησε αδιάφορη έχοντας συνηθίσει την πλοκή και το μοτίβο γραφής στις σειρές του με τον Χόλε. Ίσως ευθυνόταν και το γεγονός ότι είχε προηγηθεί η παρακολούθηση της ταινίας, ωστόσο όσον αφορά την γραφή θα σημείωνα ότι ήταν προσιτή στον αναγνώστη.
Slick and fast-moving. I liked it a lot. Not as much as I liked The Snowman, but it I found it to be a different kind of read.

Hated the protagonist and disliked the beginning. By the middle I was hooked and then holy crap-balls so many twists and turns. Nesbo is such a good writer and his works translate well in English.
Crazy but solid story about despicable characters. I can see how the story would translate well on the screen.
