So incredibly problematic but I still stayed up to finish in one sitting. I don’t honestly know how to rate this. So much of this book made me uncomfortable but I think I enjoyed it? Fuck knows really.

really good!

Nova & Maddie hate each other. Maddie’s dad, the mayor had an affair with Nova’s mom, then dropped her and left her heart broken. Nova see’s Maddie the same way, take want you want and forget about everyone else. His only goal is to make it to the NHL and take care of his mom. Maddie wants to be free of her life, away from the expectations set by her father and free of her soon to be fiancée. A simple text that was suppose to go to her best friend went to the wrong number instead. On the other end she found a charming guy, a relationship that grew to more over the months. Keeping it anonymous of course.
Maddie and Nova grow closer day by day, never meaning to of course considering the hate they hold for each other.
Now Maddie finds herself having feelings for two men and feeling stuck in her current life.

I liked this book, loved how Nova really was, the two sides of him and his depth of feelings for Maddie. I could see a different ending but then it wouldn’t set up for Josh’s book. I wanted more of an extended epilogue, a few years down the road would have been nice to see.
