This is my first book written by this author and it certainly will NOT be my last.

First off, this is an enemies to lovers book which is my favorite

5 stars ⭐️

Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

It was not terrible, but it was a bit on the cheesy side (what can you expect from a kindle unlimited hockey romance)
I decided to read this to try and get in on the newly popular hockey smut and I can’t say I was disappointed in that sense! The whole forced marriage seemed a little unnecessary but I enjoyed it for the most part!

Your normal hot spicy hockey romance!

I really liked it!

2.5 / 5 stars

This book was okay. I found the premise interesting, texting the wrong number and building a relationship with that person, but it was very boring, and I found it hard to keep reading this book. I did not enjoy the miscommunication between the main characters, and I found them both to be very uninteresting.

"Every time I look at you I feel like an addict desperate for their next fix. That I feel like I am drowning buy then I see you and I can finally breathe. I literally crave everything about you, Madeline Peters.”

This is my first book by G.N. Wright and it will definitely not be my last! After I saw the blurb, my hockey romance loving brain new that I needed to read it. If you are a reader who likes/needs trigger warnings, please make sure to read full list before going into this book. This is not a light hockey romance like most. Tropes to look for:

Hockey romance
Enemies to lovers
Brother’s teammate/rival
Anonymous texting
Degradation
Possessive MMC
Rich FMC
So much drama
SO much spice

I don’t think I have ever read a book where two people hated each other more – Maddie and Nova are the epitome of the word enemies. They absolutely despise each other. And they both have their individual reasons.

But one night, when Maddie is looking to escape her prison, aka her life, she runs right into Nova. They have one sexy moment together and then vow to not do it again. Due to, ya know, the loathing they feel for each other.

But things keep happening more and more. Whether either of them wants to admit it, they are both in deep. One of them is harboring a secret and when that is revealed, things get messy.

The hate that they have for each other fueled their sexual tension and that made this book SO DANG HOT. One of the hottest hockey books I have ever read hands down. These two loved public play and I was here for it. I am sweating just thinking about those scenes. There is also one scene (cough Chapter 24 cough) that I will literally NEVER forget. And when these two finally admit their feelings out loud, man I LOVED them.

”The truth is, if I had a chance it would be you. Well, if I am being honest, I didn’t exactly choose you. There was no choice at all.”

I cannot wait to see more books in this world – especially from Nova’s teammates Alexander and Archer. I am envisioning their leading ladies in my head and I cannot wait to see what this author comes up with!

the truth or dare scene omg

i didn’t expect to like this book as much as i did, but i must say that nova and maddie crawles themselves into my brain and now there isnt getting rid of them!!!

they are so perfect and beautiful and im just utterly obsessed with it! if you havent read this book i recommend you to run and go read it because it is completely worth it!!!

alsooooo, josh and hallie’s story is next, look at me giggling

I loved this book. It had a lovely storyline and some seriously spice scenes. I enjoyed the dual romance elements. I loved reading about her relationship with her brother Josh. I loved the enemies to lovers banter. Maddie was such a great character and Nova was the redeemable bad boy of the college hockey scene. I’m definitely going to be reading the next story.
