Devastating, but also so deeply humane, and sometimes very funny.

This was obviously excruciating, but beautifully honest. Listening to this never felt voyeuristic, and instead felt like the least, but best, thing I could do to honor this beautiful baby boy and his shattered parents.

4.5 Lovely, terrible little book. I found myself laughing constantly, which I hated. Because you feel the loss of little Henry without relief, yet Rob makes you cackle and smile throughout every scene.
But, I think Rob finds healing in that. He wants us to enter into his darkness and be robbed of something there just as he was robbed of something too. But his darkness isn’t one devoid of beauty—in fact it mingles with it. Every memory of Henry is found there, and there’s a comfort in that. I think that’s what he wanted us to see.

the only reason i rated this 4 stars is because this book makes me cry.
