As someone pretty unfamiliar with Dolly Parton's music but aware of her personality and charitable work, I would have found something linear easier to follow, either through the years of her life or the release of the songs.  This felt like a haphazard interview with a super fan rather than the story of a person's life or career.  She mentioned a few times she didn't care if this project or that project was good as long as she had fun making it. I hope she had fun.
