Don’t read, this is a required audiobook. Lots of typical Dolly lore, but I will never get tired of hearing it from her voice. Also, the famous amos story, iykyk.

I love Dolly Parton. I think she's made the world a better place and continues to do so. I guess maybe I was expecting something different from this book, more insight into her life and what motivates her. The book is really just the lyrics to the songs she has written with a few paragraphs about what inspired the song or what was happening in her life at the time. There are many photographs of her and some of her with other famous artists. It's a nice book to flip through but doesn't really tell her life's story.

If you're really stuck on the word "Book," you're gonna have a bad time. I recommend the audio book, because from what I can tell, it's really a collection of interview responses... But the content is great and I loved learning so much about the songs.

The audiobook is like having a conversation with Dolly. A great journey of her story and achievements.
