I listened to this book and wish I would have waited to read it instead. The format was a little too unconventional to me (more like an interview), and very repetitive with the stories. I did however enjoy listening to hear speak; she really is a fun storyteller.
A brain under all that hair and a heart under those boobs. I loved this. A must listen on audio. She is a true icon. Funny, inspiring and wise. I loved every minute of this beautiful book.
While there were interesting stories shared and of course hearing American gem Dolly Parton’s voice, the back and forth interview style with no questions being asked format was a bit off-putting. I think I would have enjoyed this better actually reading the book rather than listening to the audiobook.
I listened to this on Audible & can't imagine what it would be like actually reading the book. I had thought it & my husband also said: it sounds like you sat down with a grandma or aunt & she's telling you all the old stories.
Learned some things about Dolly’s early life and career. Absolutely love how she is authentically herself.
No actual plot thread but truly immaculate vibes. Definitely listen to it so u can hear dolly’s voice and the song snippets
