2024 Popsugar Reading Challenge: An autobiography by a woman in rock-n-roll. National treasure! I recommend this, particularly in audio format - I'm actually not sure how well it would work written as the audio style is very conversational. It's only about 5 hours and I listened to this whole thing in a day driving around and on a walk. Didn't realize how much Dolly writes for other people, or writes songs just to write them and didn't intend to sing them herself.

I grew up listening to all kinds of music but my daddy was from WV so he listened to a lot of country. So while listening to Dolly on this audiobook I felt like I was sitting around with my dad & his sisters and just talking about music, laughing and having a good time. As if I couldn’t love Dolly anymore ❤️

This is not a book. More of a podcast. It's great, just miscatagorized.

We should all strive to look at life and our situations as Dolly does

I already knew a lot of these stories, but some were new to me. I always love a good chat with Dolly. She's my favorite!

3.5 Stars. I just love Dolly Parton, you learn a lot about her life through her songs she lays it all out on the table!
