If you're just a casual Dolly fan, the podcast series "Dolly Parton's America" is way more interesting.
I listened to the audio version of this and it was a very delightful way to get a bit more information about the stories behind Dolly's songs. It feels a little bit like an interview that we, the listeners, get the inside scoop on.

Loved the audiobook version and hearing Dolly tell these stories about the various songs she’s written, and what was going on in her life at the time. Also hilarious that she says t**ties and “horny music”. Even if you’re not a fan of her music, you might just change your tune
Read the print version for the pictures, listen to the audio version for snippets of music and Dolly's delightful ramblings.
Delightful, and overall better as an audiobook than in print, except that in print you get all the wonderful pictures.
Cannot believe how many songs Dolly has written. I remember my aunt always had a Dolly cassette playing in her car, so I learned a lot of her songs at a young age. Boy, she can write some sad ones.
I love Dolly a lot. She's confident and humble and a fantastic storyteller.

this was a company gift a couple years ago, fitting for nashville. I've enjoyed taking a work break here or there and reading a page while listening to the accompanying song. Unsurprisingly the bluegrass ones were my favorite
