I highly recommend the Audiobook version to listen to Dolly talk about her life.
Listened to the audiobook of this which was fab because it's like Dolly is just having a chat with you! But I have just ordered the hardback because I want to enjoy all the photos too!! <3

I audiobooked this book and I strongly recommend audiobooking it so you hear Dolly's delicious twang and giggle and so you hear the snippets of songs that accompany her words. I found that by 3/4 through this short book, it was starting feel repetitious. Her confidence overpowers her humility. Despite that, she still is very likable. If you like her and/or her music, its a fun and short listen. Perfect for a road trip through the Smoky or Blue Ridge Mountains.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - Dolly Parton is a National treasure.

This book is huge! Full of photos and little tidbits, memories, inspirations, and lifelong reflections that inspired many of Dolly's songs. Honestly, audio is the way to go because she speaks so fast you just feel like you're listening to a long conversational interview with her. Mixed in are song clips related to that section and make it extra special. I've always enjoyed Dolly, but have a lot more respect for some of her non-musical endevors now
