A cute prequel- very light and fun.

Lil novella, fine read, but honestly without having already ready the Earls error I wouldn't have enjoyed it  much, almost too much going on for any depth, hella love bombing/instant love immediately

I'm disappointed in only one thing: the lack of development.

This actually has a great story, great characters, and yet... it's "explored" at such a rapid blink-and-you'll-miss-it pace that it feels like the story got pushed aside for the sake of getting to the ending. With slower pacing and more time to flesh everything out it could have been an epic unto itself, not just a "0.5" in a series.

The story goes by so fast I'm pretty sure all of the events take place in the span of a week (no, really...
3 days travel, 2 evenings, 1 outing, 1 play
...I'm pretty sure that was it), which is mind boggling to me.

Instead of the mutual, deep relationship that it easily could have been (every seed was there), it's a lust at first sight story that left me wanting so much more with these characters that just got...skipped.

I honestly expected to not like this title at all. I really don't go for this genre, and I only read it as part of a little book club I'm in, but i REALLY liked the characters, the setup, just about everything about it...but none of it was given any time, and I really feel like I missed out on a great story because of it.

I'm writing this nearly a week after finishing it and I really can't remember any details. The main charecter (can't remember her name) was impoverished, went to her first ball fainted in front of most eligible bachelor (granted it wasn't deliberate) and eventually marries him.

It was however the first book I finished after being in a reading slump (Though its only 80 pages so not really a novel)

There was nothing in this that I would critisise necessarily but I really don't like this genre and when I am in a reading slump I go to free romantic books on kindle and then suddenly my need to read comes back!
