I know I wanted to read romance, I always do during the summer but I discovered this is a 4 book deal trying to hook up the four sisters. In this one, it hooks up practical and hot tempered Catherine to Trent St. James a top notch Boston businessman.
The setting is interesting, The Towers, a historic site in Maine. The characters are cute and lovely in their own way. But the romance felt too rushed. Though, I can't lie to myself, I will be reading to find out what happens to the other sisters and how they find their love interests.

i didn’t like how quickly (in a matter of days) fmc fell in love with mmc and played into her aunt’s scheme. i didn’t like how mmc kept sending her mixed signals after rejecting her, he had to know he was hurting her.

Courting Catherine (The Calhouns #1) by Nora Roberts - The small town mechanic and the man who wants to buy her family home shouldn't work, but they are cute opposites attracters! Happy Reading!

This was an interesting NR book although it felt much more like a prequel to kick off the series conceit. It was also an older one and therefore short, which made the falling in love period feel compressed…we’ll see if the later books improve. In a surprising turn of events, there is no sex, but that felt true to the characters. Nora also proves she loves nothing so well as a ghost subplot.

За жанра си, т.е блудкави любовни истории, е написана добре (но все пак това е Нора Робъртс). Като цяло не бих казала, че е 3 звезди, но гледам да я оценявам в рамките на жанра и.

The first romance(s) I ever read. First read it in 1996 and more than a decade later, I still love the Calhoun family :)

First in a five book series by prolific author Nora Roberts and this one unlike the last few I have read from her is not a snore feat - it is not brilliant but is more interesting than the others, perhaps being written a bit later she has honed her craft somewhat.
Still very generic and not the greatest bit of literature but it was fair.
