3.5 ⭐️ rounded down. I really enjoyed the beginning, but I kind of lost interest towards the middle and end.

This is one of the most fun and cutest love stories I’ve ever read! The character development was phenomenal and I was rooting for both Karter & Dreamy. I laughed, my heart swelled with love, the struggles felt real… so good and so worth the read! Watching them fall in love was a joy and I love how they empowered and rooted for each other.

My issues with this romance were that there was a lot of tell and not enough show, the romance was flat and unrealistic, the dialogue was stiff and artificial and the mentions of class were overwhelming. While I understand that the plot hinges on the class difference between the two main characters, the constant inner and outer dialogue on classism made it hard to form my own opinions on the characters (who weren’t developed well). I wanted much more emotion and angst from the characters, as well as more realistic tension and believable interpersonal struggle; everything worked out too swiftly for what the beginning of the story promised. I’m sad to say, I was bored reading this.

My first thoughts when I finished this book was… come the hell on!! I literally laughed out loud because let’s be honestly, the artiur can’t be serious lol.

The beginning of this was so cute and fun, and then the middle of this was so cute and fun, and then the ending was too perfect… I never thought in a million years I would say that!!!

Since when is that possible.

This is just a cute and fun book I guess. It wasn't perfect for me - it was a little silly and a little fairytaley and I found the characters a little forgettable - but it was cute and fun.

I think that's all I have to say?
Maybe I should play the lottery lol

Enjoyed seeing the relationship grow between the two and the antics that they got up too. At times the antics were a little too much, however got some great laughs and aww-inspiring moments.

I felt that the book was too perfect and a little bit shallow; in the sense that it didn't dive deep into the differences between the two. Krater is the son of a famous movie star and has grown up in the lap of luxury. Dreamy was abandoned by her mother on her grandparents doorstep and is scraping by to pay her bills. Yet, it really didn't affect them much. Yes, Krater's mom wasn't exactly happy about it but everyone else-outside of his friends who we only meet once- accepted Dreamy with open arms. No suspicions, no side eyes, just full on acceptance.

Not saying that that can't happen but realisticly it just seems a little far fetched. Also, we barely see anyone outside of those in their close circles. Again, Krater's first introdution is opened with his best friend dying at 40 from a heart attack and he has a standing weekly/monthly dinner with said friend and other friends. But we only meet the group once, and then no more.

Dreamy has her grandfather and cousin Jordyan, but outside of them her 'only' friend is Marianna- who we only see twice and then she's mentioned a few more times. I would have loved to see more interaction outside of their inner circle. More time spent with those who they would be in conflict with, i.e, his mom, her mom, his ex-Angelica, her ex-Brandon.  And I know they do show up but only briefly.

Ultimately, while I did enjoy reading this book and liked their journey, I felt that it was too perfect. A true happily ever after, except there is hardly any conflict and the flaws they do have (Krater is a workacholic and Dreamy is super independent and maybe a tad delusional) they don't really overcome it, IMO.

Will look into exploring more from Ms. Cooper as I did enjoy the writing style.
