3.75 stars.

I was a little scared going into this, given that I had really mixed feelings about the first volume of this series. But the cover was sufficiently badass that I picked it up anyway.

And I'm so glad I did. The Weeping Angels are my favourite Doctor Who villain, and they're done in such a great way here. Add in the idea of the Weeping Angels hanging out in the Somme and dumping soldiers all through history, and you've got yourself one hell of a good time.

My main gripe with this was that the art wasn't great at times? I mean, the backgrounds were fabulous. But the Tenth Doctor rarely looked like the Tenth Doctor. And every female character (which was basically Gabby and a couple of other one-panel randoms) was drawn in a total stereotypical comic book tits-and-arse way, which nooooooooo.

The second story that was tacked onto the end of this one was...meh. Decidedly mediocre. So this would have been a 4.25 star read for me. But between the meh-tastic second story and the weirdo art? Yeah, I had to bump it down half a star.

Two nice stories in this second volume, the first and main story involves Weeping Angels and WWI. The second story is a short one off that takes us back to present day, we meet a couple alien races and the issue is resolved almost as soon as it is discovered.

Gabby still isn't really grabbing me as a companion and the artwork remains embarrassingly awful, but its difficult to NOT enjoy a story featuring the Weeping Angels.

Overall, this was an improvement over the last volume and the end of the WWI story might have brought a tear to my eye.

The Tenth Doctor continues to be my favorite and I'm so glad these comics exist.

The Doctor and his companion Gabby find themselves in the year 1916 and not only is The Great War happening but the Weeping Angels have showed up so things are about to get complicated.

Full of adventure, humor and a dash of danger, I highly recommend!

I love the Tenth Doctor. And it's so nice to see that they have good people working on this graphic novel series that get his personality and facial expressions across. The first story in this book, about the Weeping Angels, is definitely on fleek (did I use that right?). It's got the right about of grit, heartbreak, and happy. The second story... Well, I loved the echoes, but the rest of it felt too rushed and jumbled.

More, please.

Doktor a Gabby se dostanou do doby první světové války a ocitnou se na území nikoho. I s Tardis jsou najednou přímo uprostřed bombardování. To ale není to nejhorší, co je potká. V okolí je spousta záhadných soch andělů, plačících andělů. Takže ani nemrkněte, ať o něco nepřijdete.

I really enjoyed the first Weeping Angels in WWI story, but not so much the noise pollution finale. Could have totally done without that one so luckily it was really short.

It was good, and I always enjoy a good weeping angel story. But the art style was somehow very different from the last comic and that was a bit odd.
