I absolutely LOVED Bandette! Why did it take me so long to actually read it?! I liked her playfulness, cleverness and strength. Also, she has a cape. The comic book world needs as many females in capes as possible! Personally, I think this book would make a great movie and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Utterly freaking charming. I want to immediately buy a copy for my 12 year old niece and then another copy for my 47 year old aunt who introduced me to Oz and Tin-Tin and Archie in the first place. Just absolutely lovely writing and beautiful, crisp artwork. Highly, highly, most highly, recommended.

Cute, and completely unbelievable. Like a fantasy, probably why it is so enjoyable.

Charming, cheeky, and most importantly, fun! I particularly enjoyed the short urchin stories. The first couple of issues are a bit slow, but once the plot kicked in I was hooked.

Part of me feels like I should have liked this more than I did. Full-color, superhero/French-style Tintinesque heisty stylized hero story, I think I was even the person who asked our library system to purchase this in the first place.
But in the crowded field of redhead femaleish gumshoe-types ([b:Harriet the Spy|232576|Harriet the Spy (Harriet the Spy #1)|Louise Fitzhugh|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1431235447s/232576.jpg|1429939]! And this left me feeling flat.
