This series is always so much fun! There were a few things that bothered me (I'm looking at you, Curran) but the good things were really good, and I love Kate's twisted sense of humor. Probably my favourite book in the series so far, can't wait to see what happens next

Hum... still a very exciting read, but I can't give it that many stars due to the (ok yes, I fully realize I'm salty about this) relationship drama, lies and deceit going on between key characters.
I know they had their reasons and everything was made clear near the end of the book, but the extra drama made my reading enjoyment take a nose dive.
Christopher though! What a kooky character. Loved his scenes, especially near the end when he surprised everyone doing (something... not spoiling) just to get Kate to stop crying.

Jeden z mých nejoblíbenějších dílů. Evropa, závěrečná bitva i samotný konec. Na můj vkus až moc emocí a boží večeře při svíčkách.
Loved the new good characters and seeing the new setting. Love the “hobbit”
Oubliée la Kate Daniels ! Non, je ne veux pas dire que j'ai décidé qu'elle passerait à la trape après lecture de ce dernier tome paru pour le moment uniquement en anglais. Tout simplement, mes lectures se sont éloignées de l'urban fantasy, impression d'avoir lu le meilleur et que tout n'est souvent que répétition médiocre parmi les nouvelles parutions. Et puis par affinité pour des genres et thèmes différents (et une reprise d'études avec une liste de lectures obligatoires et recommandées d'une violence assez incroyable).
Assez d'excuses ! Une critique !
Et bien non ! Le niveau, la qualité de ce tome est bien égal aux précédents (oublions les spin-offs sur les personnages secondaires...). Une montée en puissance dans la confrontation avec le lot d'archi-méchants qui ne sont pas si loin que ça. Du danger. De la jalousie. Du choc ! De la tristesse. Et puis du suspense. Et des questions sur l'avenir de certains personnages qu'on sent pas loin d'un tournant sombre...
Bref, une gourmandise pour les fans de la série et celles et ceux qui aiment la bonne, vraie, urban fantasy pas simpliste.

One of the best of the series. Love this series- amazing that a book so far in can be so good. Most die out around book 3.
