I'm still pleasantly surprised by how Kate and Curran handle their issues, it really wasn't what I expected from their early dynamic at all. Just the fact that there have been moments where either of them could have walked away, and even though they choose to stay, they communicate where the line is. It's pretty great.

This book also had a lot of stakes that I wasn't expecting, dang.

Ilona Andrews is a genius.

Ilona Andrews knows how to take you on a Rollercoaster ride and we're off to Europe in this one.

She is a brilliant writer and sets a very high standard for Urban Fantasy. This book will make you laugh, cry, have all the feels and keep you on the edge of your seat whilst glued to the book

After six books, the suprises, the thrills, twists turns are all still there as well as the people you all love - Rachel, Curran, Derek, Andrea, Rafael and Saiman.

Kate's loyalties and toes are questioned, we are introduced to a whole variety of new characters and their politics, we have a pregnant wolf princess and we have the handsome Curran.

I love a good long series, but I often fare with one single love interest the spark will be lost and it will get boring but my oh my this is definitely not the case here.

Still love this series with each re-read - and you will too if you love a good kickers FMC, a handsome shape-shifting mate, urban fantasy, lots of drama and anmwesime world building.

As usual, the Kate Daniels novels are just ... awesome. Fun adventure, good characters, keeping me up too late. And they went somewhere interesting and *not* horribly well-trodden, plus we met people who advanced the über-plot.

(Except I got behind recording books and no longer remember when I read it, sigh. But I know I was reading when I should've been sleeping.)

When I grow up I want to be Kate Daniels!
I love this series. It gets better with each story. Kate and Curran hit some troubled times and it is/was a roller coaster of emotions for me. Tragedy strikes our group of furry friends and I was left with my mouth hanging open. Again, another outstanding adventure with my FAVORITE characters. Definitively on my read again and again list!

*Disclaimer: I read all 10 books in this series back to back in two weeks and I couldn't stop reading long enough to review each book when I finished it, so this is a review written after finishing and loving all 10 books*

This book was really entertaining because we got to see more of the world this is set in, met people from different packs, who were the worse, and see different magical creatures from various mythologies. Also, in this book, it feels like the characters are in greater danger, which proves true since so many are hurt through it.

There's some conflict in this book between Kate and Curran that didn't completely make sense with who they are as characters and I felt like it was done because it was convenient, especially since it got resolved really easily when it was no longer needed for them to spend time apart.

I loved all the side characters from previous books that we got to spend time with in this book and the new characters that were introduced. Also, Hugh is a very charismatic bad guy, and his interactions with Kate were interesting, especially the sword fight.
