What is this world coming to when as I'm reading a book by Liz Cheney, I'm agreeing with most of what she's saying?!?!?! It was incredibly clearly written, and did help me to greater understand what happened prior to and post January 2024. It's also terrifying.

This is such an important book to read. As a Democrat, I do not support most republican policies, and I was highly suspicious of her father’s hand as VP, but as an American I the ethics and bravery of Ms Cheney cannot be denied. I will be suggesting this book to everyone. She details the her concerns and many of the discoveries concerning the January 6th attack on our capitol. She also discusses where we are now as a nation. Thankful for her sacrifice of career in service of truth. I wish more in her party would follow her lead.

Every American should read this book. It’s deeply disturbing to hear her warning and understand where we are today in March 2025. This book provides thorough and factual details about the events surrounding January 6. 4 stars and not 5 because I felt that some points could’ve used more context and explanation as somebody who is still trying to understand how things work at the federal level.

This is a MUST READ for EVERY American before voting this coming November!!! I may be on the opposite end of the political spectrum from Liz Cheney and her policy beliefs, but she is a BRAVE and TRUE AMERICAN who puts the Constitution above ALL in our country! My greatest hope is that, as Americans, we will all see the light and do the same thing before it’s too late. Another term of Donald Trump will dissolve the Democracy that we have held so dear for the last 250 years. We CAN’T let that happen!

With any luck this book will someday be required reading in all American History classes.
