A most frightening time in American history written out for us all to see and understand in hopes that this madness can never happen again. The truth about the lies that were being spread by the most undeserving of our leaders, Donald Trump, and his followers. Thank you to all who told the truth of what occurred on January 6 and leading up to that day. Thank you to the honorable Liz Cheney.

I don't often like to "read" these types of books but found myself compulsively listening to Liz Cheney's Oath and Honor. I listened in the car, I listened while cooking, and I listened whenever I had a free moment to myself.
This book should be required LISTENING for every American who plans to vote in our next election. Liz clearly and concisely outlines what happened on January 6, 2021, including Trump's denial of a fair election, his refusal to a peaceful transition of power, and takes the reader through the congressional hearings and beyond. It boggles my mind that he has won the presidential nomination from the Republican party for 2024 and how those who were scared shitless on January 6 have the gall to bow down to him now.

This very detailed and thorough account of the events of and leading up to January 6, 2021 should be required reading for everyone before they vote later this year.
Fantastic book! Well written and detailed account of the events prior to, during, and after January 6th from a respectable, conservative voice (they DO exist still!). Although it’s unlikely the people who SHOULD read this will not entertain it, it should be required reading for them. Personally, I listened to this on audio and recommend this version as it was read by Liz Cheney and included recorded audio excerpts. It’s not often I would recommend a book written by a Republican nowadays, but I highly recommend this one.
Liz Cheney is crisp and organized as she gives her first person account of the events leading up to January 6th and her role on the Commission that resulted. In the midst of those two events, she becomes a hero to many and a liability to Wyoming voters.
This is not a wonky, entrenched-in-policy type of book. Cheney shows how personal governing is for her—part of a family legacy and a Republican tradition that she values. She mentions her parents often. As a person who dislikes the legacy both of them left, it’s a good exercise in listening to a diff viewpoint.
Mostly, the book outlines what has happened since Trump refused to hand over the reins of power until he ran out of options and how dangerous his behavior is for the future of our country, no matter which party.
It’s hard to read these books.

I’m an outspoken democrat and have never supported any of the Cheney’s family’s political beliefs but I am SO IMPRESSED with Liz’s patriotism and bravery. This is a book all Americans should read to truly understand the danger of Donald Trump.
The last sentence of the book will stick with me for a long time, regarding defeating Donald Trump: “This is a cause for our time.”

This should be required reading. Our country needs a reminder that our government takes an oath to the Constitution. Not a person. Trump is a danger to our Republic.
