My politics do not align with Liz Cheney's at all, but I couldn't help but appreciate and admire her candor, intelligence, and clear presentation in this book. She provides information and details about a period in recent history that we must not forget. She makes an incredibly strong argument for her actions on and after January 6, 2021, and her warnings should be heeded.

This is an example of being on the total opposite spectrum of Liz Cheney politically but respecting how she is standing up to Donald Trump and his enablers.

The amount of detail in this book is both remarkable, and terrifying. While I definitely think it's worth a read (or listen), the epilogue is a great summary and really hits home on just how horrifying a second term for Trump would be. Being a lifelong Republican, Liz doesn't come out and say vote Democrat, but she does say we all need to do whatever it takes to make sure he is never reelected. I commend Liz for standing up for what is right throughout all of this, even though it cost her her seat, and I wish we had more commendable representatives.

Very well written and detailed. Heartbreaking. I don't think I ever agreed with Liz before but I love how she stood up for what was right

Take Heed

A must read for Republicans and particularly those that have not lost all reason and joined the cult. Read. Take pause. Heed the warning.

I have very little politically in common with Liz Cheney and there are moments in this book where I audibly disagree with her. However, this should be required reading/listening by all Americans as the threats to our Democracy are real and the events of January 6th have continued to be downplayed, to the peril of what is true and right.
