I am sure this book will end up being one of the most important memoirs of the 21st Century. Liz Cheney explains in a clear and insistent voice the precipice our country is currently facing. She is a woman of unmatched courage and is committed to the ideals that make our country and our democracy great. I listened to her read the audiobook which gave even more power to her words. Everyone who believes in the concept of democracy should read this book.

I would suggest reading the book, rather than listening to audio. It was deadpan, droned on and on. I have a lot of respect for her choices so was determined to finish, but a professional narrator should have done the audio to give it some life.
