I listened to this audiobook because I had listened to another one of her Christmas books, Faking Christmas, and loved it. This one fell short with me. I was a little bored and uninterested the whole time. The characters were forgettable to me. It is a little short novela though, so it was an insanely quick read.

Cute novella with lots of sparks, though I probably wouldn't have been quite as forgiving of his remark, 8th grade or not.

This was a fun Christmas read without a lot of fluff! Just two characters, stranded…in a snow covered cabin. A definite smile inducer with well rounded characters and great chemistry! The perfect short, holiday read.

Adorable, Christmasy perfection. If I had a list of all of my favorite, super cliche moments to have in a book, this book had them. It’s not a classic, but it made me smile.

This book felt very childish from the get go. The prologue is Penny’s past experience with Chase in middle school where she overheard him compare her to his dog. I understand that shit will leave a lasting impression on you, BUT fast forward ten or so years and she’s still holding onto this grudge.

Not to mention, Chase is still calling her by the awful nickname, “Blister”. It’s like both of them are continuing to live in the past when they are now adults.

It was hard to want them to be together because they just never seemed to grow up, or want to for that matter. From the point where they realized they were stuck in the cabin together, Chase starts making her work for food & clothes.. only to find out he liked her this whole time?? What a weird thing to do to “help” someone you like.
