Emma & Jackson are two very different characters, their families have been rivals for years and the Pearces (Jackson's family) enjoy playing the most absurd pranks on the. Worthingtons (Emma's family), all because both families have a tradition of having a Christmas party on the exact same day every year.
But things change when Emma & Jackson are forced to organize that same party together, and both families have to attend, needless to say, these two don't have the easiest start, as they were raised to hate each other, but neither Emma nor Jackson can avoid the attraction they feel for each other and I loved reading the way in which Maren forced them to be together with this plot giving me the funniest, hottest and also tenderest moments when Emma & Jackson start to really get to know each other, especially the way in which Emma destroys all the prejudices that Jackson has about her. But without a doubt what I loved most was reading Jackson falling in love with her with every little detail he discovered about her personality.

I ended up dnf at about 50%. It was cringe and the MMC was way too rough for a Christmas book imo
I loved this so much more than the Mistletoe Bet. The story line was cute, and one the spice started it didn’t stop lol. Still, the book had tons of plot, easy to follow story line, and a lot of Christmas cheer. Perfect lil holiday read! Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt like the ending was rushed. It was the climax and tension, then next page was happily ever after - the end.
Enemies to lovers, rival families, forded proximity, one bed, he falls first, small town gossip train.

fast-paced
This was so dull. I actually hated every minute of it. I was so bored with everything. The characters were not likeable at all, the drama was pathetic and the reason for the feud was so damn stupid. It had such potential and it just didn't meet it. At. All.
