Incredible Hallmark-style corniness, but if you’re looking a sweet-and-spicy holiday novella, it gets the job done.
Each year I spend half of Nov and most of December engorging myself on holiday novellas and such. I have a whole list of them to get through this year and this A Festive Feud was right near the top. Why you may be thinking, and the answer is simple - Maren Moore writes the BEST spicy sweet holiday stories. I mean they are as Maren puts it herself, our favorite hallmark movies with all of the spice they never give us lol.

- Enemies to lovers
- Longstanding feud
- Christmas romance
- Nutcracker drama
- Party planning hijinks
- Dirty mouth MMC
I have always loved Maren's work, so when I heard about this story, I was over the moon excited! The one thing Maren does so well is banter.
"How dare he be so attractive and yet the most annoying man to ever walk the planet."
"I also don't know how it's physically possible for me to be around this man for longer than thirty seconds without wanting to rip his clothes off while simultaneously wanting to punch him right in his smug face."
Emma and Jackson's families have been in a feud for decades - and no one really knows why. Both families have been competing to throw the best Christmas party each year - and neither side are above pulling pranks to sabotage the other family.
So when Emma and Jackson find themselves at the same store looking at the same LAST nutcracker, they both snap...and end up in jail for the night. The mayor gives them a choice: work together to plan a joint Christmas party for the entire town or get charged for the destruction they caused.
"But the truth is, I don't actually hate Emma Worthington. I just want to shove my c*ck between her lips to shut her up."
"For the first time, maybe ever, I've shut Emma Worthington up. Unfortunately for me, it's not with my c*ck, but a win is a win."
Reluctantly they agree to plan the party, but quickly realize they might not hate each other as much as they thought they would.
"I am supposed to be hating him again, not wanting to take him for a ride like Santa's sleigh."
"Apparently, my v@g*na is a ho ho ho for this man."
I flew through this book, laughing all the way. This is going to become an annual re-read for me!

My thoughts: As you can see from my previous review of ‘The Mistletoe Bet’, Maren Moore has really given one of the greatest Christmas gifts this year, a full on Sexy Christmassy vibe novella series that was so good I binged two books in one day and waited eagerly in anticipation for book 3 ‘The Christmas List’ to be released!
A Festive Feud has been my favourite in the series, as I really felt connected to the characters and storyline from beginning to end. This novella has comedy, spice, and enemies to lovers all while wrapped up in festivities and drama

Light, spicy Christmasy read. Some details and unrealistic dialogue were distracting at times but it was cute.

Cute story. A decades-old feud fueled by miscommunication, followed by a fight over a nutcracker. The perfect setup for a quick Christmas read.
As for the spice, this was like the 92% extra dark chocolate. And I am VERY vanilla.

This was a solid holiday read! Quick and fun. Loved the banter between Emma and Jackson. The spice was hot AF. The dressing room scene though
4.5 Stars
This was so good! The tension was amazing, the romance was strong and the antics/banter of the two leads had me chuckling. The story and ‘twist’ were somewhat predictable but I didn’t mind it and the spice was absolutely spicing. This is a new favourite festive read for sure!

You're telling me this whole thing was on a miscommunication?? I mean I saw it coming but hey the romance was fine.
