4.5 stars for this one. It was so great, I had a few issues with the relationship but overall it was a great book! Can't wait for the next one!
Okay Honey.
I only read this book because the 3rd book teased actual story.
And it was so disappointing and again problematic.
But I figured out a way to enjoy this book series more. I just don't read the words "Honey" and "okay" anymore. Hot scenes are suddenly less cringe, characters don't sound stupid anymore.
And by the Gods I don't understand why every female MC of this series sound the same. Utterly the same. It's not cute, it's annoying. Those are supposedly women in their 30th talking like teenagers. I just don't want to read an "Okay Honey" ever again.
The idea and world building behind this series has so much potential.. and is absolutely destroyed by flat story and annoying character.
Only because a guy is hot doesn't make him being abusive okay. This book kinda touched on that topic, after the unacceptable rape fiasco from the 2nd book. But still how dominant, demanding guys are portrayed is not ok. I don't mind dominant, I mind abusive. It's not sexy and cute, it's abuse.
I am hate reading this series and don't know why I bothered. And I will not touch the last one. The story conclusion of this book left me utterly disappointed. And the sex wasn't even that good, so much teasing about more spicy stuff and nothing happens.

More than the previous stories, this one brought to mind the rock chicks. A lovely story that fleshed out more of this world, brought back many beloved characters, and fulfilled your faith in love's power and the ability to overcome.

My least favorite of the series but still great
Nothing triggers my resentment as much as comparisons to the MMC's ex, dear or alive. It's too close to my personal experience for me to easily brush it off.
How the heck did I still like this book?
Idk. I was rooting for Ilsa to get her happy ever after. The abuse she went through from her ex made her skittish and vulnerable but she still tried to be strong. She got my heart because of that.
Apollo was an asshat for the most part but I'm glad he came to his senses. They got pretty hot and heavy early (arguably hotter than the other books).
I loved the attention from the guys (as a whychoose girlie) when they were traveling after Apollo left her to them. She totally deserved that and she was sorely needing the friendship they freely gave her. Although one of the guys falling for her and giving a love triangle angle was a bit cruel. This book should have been at least an MFM romance.

Every book in this series is the same book with different characters.
