I still continue to enjoy reading this series. I never really liked Spiderman all that much until now. I appreciate his sense of humor. The double agent stuff is really interesting, especially since the reader really doesn't know the whole story and which way things are leaning. This is a series Marvel (and especially Avengers) fans should read.

Liking the spy stuff getting added. Only one last trade before Civil War.

I'm getting ahead of myself with my intended reading order with this one. Nonetheless, I liked that we start to unfold the double agent life-- but hated the Jessica Drew flashback scenes-- bc the art, OMG, laughable. oy.

Collects issues 11-15. Bendis delivers an interesting story of intrigue involving SHIELD, Hydra, the Hand, and Spider-Woman's role at the intersection of these factions. The art is strong throughout, with Frank Cho, handling the pencils in issues 14 and 15, mostly reining in his cheesecake impulses--he is, like the other artists, David Finch and Rick Mays, hamstrung by the impediment of Ms. Marvel's egregious costume from 1978--though he does succumb in a couple of places, such as a gratuitous rear perspective of Ms. Marvel and one of Spider-Woman--who frequently seems to get the sexist/mysogynist treatment (looking at you Milo Manara) from artists--in a two-page spread near the end.

This one focused on Spider-Woman and what's she's up to double agenting everywhere. Having already read Secret Invasion this kind of blows my mind that Bendis had that planned from the start!

Echo popped up briefly as Ronin, and she seems pretty cool.

2016 review:

Really enjoyed this too. Sorry for spamming everyone with comics these last couple of days, but I'm preparing myself for my last exam this semester, and comics are so easy to read on the side. When my exam is done I'll get back into real books.

The whole 'who is ronin' thing was cool, I liked the reveal. Also always love seeing Matt Murdock, the netflix series really endeared me to him.

The last two issues of this were a lot more fun for me (I'm just not a big fan of ninjas), I especially love the bit with J Jonah Jameson. Plus more Jessica Drew!

Spiderwoman is quickly becoming a character who I really enjoy, but this arc has thrown me for a loop. Who is she really and what side is she on? Craziness!

Ronin -I want to read more comics with Ronin. Being a comic newbie I am intrigued by this character

And the mix in the awesome crew of Cap, Spiderman, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Luke Cage. I am learning about the Hand which I know nothing about as I only know of Hydra and I can't wait to read more.

Lots of goodness in this arc. Of the three volumes I liked this one the best. Can't wait to keep reading.
