description
Oooooh I love shifter romance books and Lisa Kessler delivers up a hot new series for me to sink my teeth into. Adam is a werewolf and Alpha heir, Lana has blackouts every new moon and has no idea why. When leopard shifters are roaming the area and killing people it's Adam's job to go out and investigate them - scenting a leopard he walks into a diner where he meets Lana. Lana thinks Adam is a creepy stranger and doesn't understand why he helps her. When he tells her she is a leopard shifter, she thinks he's crazy but the more he explains, the more she realizes he might be right.

I love how Lana sticks up for herself even when she is shit scared. I have an issue with leading ladies who are too scared to hold their ground when someone (usually a guy) tries to push them around.
She also doesn't swoon and magically feel safe with Adam, she holds judgement until he proves he can be trusted and rightly so! If I had been her with some random guy telling me I turned into an animal I would have done exactly what she did - thank you, turn, leave and think. I was literally fist pumping when she slammed Adam and his pack for their prejudice against leopards! Especially considering how idiotic Adam was about it - I mean come on she's a leopard who also happens to be your mate, MAN UP and deal with it! It is probably one of my favourite parts.

The plot was great and I really enjoyed the novel. It's typical shifter romance with a little spice so I would definitely recommend it if you love shape shifters. The chemistry between Adam and Lana is ferocious and it's well written. I have no problems but it only gets four stars because it's very similar to most other shifter romances out there, granted it is one of the better ones!

I found this gem on a random tbr shelf. I must admit I wish I would've read it sooner. I'm a sucker for paranormal romances. But, I do get frustrated or bored with the same plot and personas. I was pleasantly surprise with the plot of this story. Plus, I love a female lead who's smart and independent but can still be caring. Good read and will continue with the series.

Moonlight gets an enthusiastic 5/5 starts from me!! Want my reasoning? Check out my review on Book Chick City:

Just want my final thoughts?? Here you go!

VERDICT:

I tried really hard to think of a negative to add in here, but, truly, besides my dislike of Sasha, I could not summon one complaint about Moonlight. Kessler pulled me into her world of shifters and pack life, and her attention to detail and lovingly rendered characters kept me turning the pages until I ran out. Moonlight was simply fantastic; a standout of a Paranormal Romance, and a brilliant start to what I hope will be a long, well-received series. Look for book two in the Moon series, Hunter’s Moon, in October 2013.

It’s not rare for me to crave a good romance novel but it is unbelievably rare for me to find one that hits the spot just as perfectly as this book did. Kessler knew exactly what I was looking for and provided it perfectly.

A somewhat predictable opposites attract fated mate shifter story, but still a super fun, and pretty steamy read. :-)

Ok, I finished it on a plane. I'd already forgotten it, but the blurb reminded me. It was okay, characters weren't so bad, although it kind of felt like a few other series I've read.

while I am not a fan of the cover (only because it’s not a front shot)I still found this book amazing. I had read maybe three books about Werewolf’s when Moonlight came across my way. And can I just say wow! Lisa Kessler did an amazing job with mixing romance with paranormal and not have it come off too paranormal. I tend to try and stay away from the books told in dual POV’s and I’m glad I didn’t know that it was otherwise I may not have been so inclined to read it right away, More at

Another great book by Lisa Kessler, I love the way she writes and introduces us to her characters. They really come alive when you start reading her books. This book is no different although I had to get used to shifters as main characters and not vampires haha.

The story just picks you up from the first page and puts you down after you’ve read the epilogue. But it leaves you craving for more of the story, I really wanted to know what would happen next for all the characters and their pack.

The storyline was unique for me, I haven’t read a book like this before so that made me want to read it even more. I loved the characters in this book, even the bad ones. Because the way Lisa writes her books you even get the chance to learn more about the bad guys So you really get to know their motives and that makes them human and not just an evil character.

This was another great read by Lisa Kessler! I can’t wait to read more about the shifters.
