I enjoyed the story between Mason and Payton, but it didn't hit me emotionally as hard as I was expecting.
I spent the entire book waiting for them to finally give in and get together, for it to happen in the last 30-40 pages and it didn't have the impact I was waiting for.

I still think was worth a read though and look forward to Cameron's story next.

The only reason I gave tis 2 stars instead of 1 is simply because of the chapter where she ends up at the cemetery.. that scene earned this an extra star. Other than that, I wasted days of my life I will never get back on this book. Say You Swear was good, I enjoyed it. It was not great, but because i enjoyed it, I thought this would be alright as well.... I WAS WRONG. Dont waste your time

DNF-ed at 40%. So boring.

I loved Say You Swear, #1 in series. This one was split timeline and hard to tell which you were in. It was like the author wrote straight timeline, and it was so boring that she decided to chop it into split time line to make it more interesting. Also, who are these people? There's so little character development. Not even enough information about Payton's recent past. Why is Mason even interested?

dude… I’m not ok 😭😭😭
ohhh Payton and Mason… you both broke my heart with your story. While I understand why Payton did what she did it hurt seeing Mason so heartbroken and just falling apart day after day. That man loved that little boy from the moment he was born, and he knew from that day forward he would treat him as his own and wouldn’t let anything happen to him. Mason falling in love with Payton before even kissing her was what really got me. He fell for her probably since the first time he saw her, loved her and was there for her throughout the grief she was feeling, he was so patient with her, he waited for her to grief and do things at her pace.
I truly loved the second book and I’m exited for the third to come out, maybe get Brady and Cameron’s book plus Alister being in the middle, so perhaps a love-triangle of some sorts??? We’ll see.

never been a fan of the duel timeline thing but i like this author and really loved the first book so of course i was going to read this one regardless. it was way more angsty than i thought it would be and the dual timeline drug out the story for way too long. i hate that the resolution was in the very very end of the book. but i’m really invested in all of the characters and super intrigued by the teaser for book three at the end. this one wasn’t my favorite but i’m still very much looking forward to the next one!
