I have a hard time with Mason’s controlling personality. He repeatedly disregards the direct boundaries that the women in his life give him. The relationship with Payton is very unhealthy. There is a power dynamic that gets worse as time goes on, particularly in the extremely cringey spicy scenes. I wanted to like this story because I enjoyed getting to know the characters in Say You Swear, but this book was very uncomfortable and problematic.

This was hot garbage... I found my self constantly getting the ick from everything Mason said or did. It was incredibly rough to get through, I was frequently checking my progress hoping I was closer to being done than I was.
My biggest icks:
"I'm a good fucking boy, doing exactly what she asked"
"I don't like when other men look at you, and i hate when you look at them... I am a man. A stupid, possessive one who wants you all to himself"
When Mason is bothered that Payton chooses not to breast feed her son in front of him he is "bothered" by it.
The way the book ended with 2 really long sex scenes that honestly didn't make sense had me so annoyed. I read THIS FAR for garbage sex scenes I could barely stand to skim because Mason is the biggest ick. The book was awful, save yourself the trouble of reading.

such a let down for me :( i REALLY liked say you swear, so i was verrrry excited for this book. but, sadly, it's a no from me. i wasn't feeling their connection at all. also, she lost someone she loved SO much and who's her baby daddy and, for me personally, her grief was barely there.
