I’m sad, I was so excited for this book and it was a struggle to get through. I know expectations with Say you Swear being the first book were high but this didn’t feel like the story Mason deserved … There was too much going on but nothing was going on at the same time… I am hoping Cameron’s book gives us all that we need !
If you compare this to Say You Swear the book will come up short. It’s sooo less. I was expecting moving moments, tears and etc… Zero. I loved seeing Ari and Noah grow in this book. They were simply amazing and I cried for them again. Memories from their story.
I still hate Chase. I won’t lie but he’s a weird character. He just can’t read the room. It’s sad too. I feel like the author did this deliberately. You can’t redeem that man’s character. He literally almost ruined my favorite couple from Say You Swear. Those who read this book first might like Chase. Those who read him from Say You Swear won’t really appreciate him.
I love this book because there were parts in Say You Swear that I’d be like what happened here and now I get what happened in between. It was great seeing Say You Swear repeats somehow. Ari and Noah omg those two are goals.
Are my feeling messed? No. Mason and Payton had little chemistry. The miscommunication trope was crazy in this book. Conversation would have saved these two early on.
But the book is alright in its own right.
Ooohhhh it hit me that there are now five boys of Avix. Noah, Mason, Brady, Chase and Alister.
Noah and Ari
Mason and Payton
Alister and Cameron????
Brady and Paige???? Maybe???
Chase….. Him we don’t care about.
Update. 2⭐️
I’m still touched this book was disappointing

As much as I love Payton and Mason it was a little too much back and forth. I loved the characters and obviously the growth but I felt like I was missing excitement. I just wanted more from this story.
Not a bad book but enjoyed the one before it more. Kinda hard to get into.

For a romance book- there was more running and hiding in this book than any murder mystery/horror book I’ve ever read
