Nothing happens in this book. Literally no plot. Nothing at all.
If you want a trashy, wattpad style read, then this is for you. However, it was too much for even me. I didn’t understand what was going on until literally 80% of the way through the book. Nothing made sense, but I guess there were vibes???

I loved the first story in this series; however, this one didn't evoke the same emotional pull that I experienced with the first. This is an amazing book that demonstrates that even at a young adult age, one can go through experiences that are difficult to recover from. The story of Mason and Payton was both loving and heartwarming, but it also contained tragic and eye-opening elements.
The only downside is that the narrative felt repetitive at times, and some emotional ideas fell flat, making parts of it seem a bit bland.

Might be a controversial opinion here, but I loved Promise Me Not more than Say You Swear. I physically could not put the book down unless I had to sleep. It was finished in less than 24 hours. The story, the characters, the love, and yes…the smut(was not the main focus) was all amazing! Highly recommend you read Say You Swear then continue with Promise Me Not!

Masons love for not just Payton but for Little D is all rainbows and butterflies. Never wanting to take Big Ds spot in Littles life or really replacing the love Payton had for him. But wanting to be the now and future love.
Don't get me wrong, I was worried a few times because of Chases and Paytons friendship almost seemed to be more, but really was two friends with broken hearts that could relate.

Not nearly as good as the first book, but it fit for the characters in this story. Very excited for book 3.
3.5⭐️ This doesn’t compare to Say You Swear but that’s a me problem! If you’re like me and that story lives rent free in your head, maintain the expectations and you’ll probably enjoy this one too!
