While I found it to be a good read, it didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by her previous work, "Say You Swear." The storyline was engaging, and Brandy's signature writing style shone through, with beautifully crafted prose that drew me in from the start.

The characters were well-developed, and their emotional journeys were relatable, making it easy to connect with them. However, I felt that the plot lacked some of the intensity and depth that made "Say You Swear" so memorable. There were moments that felt a bit predictable, and I found myself wishing for more twists and turns to keep the suspense alive.

Would recommend if you love single parent and a slow burn with some angsty heart hurting moments.

this was so anticipated for me this year as I LOVED Say You Swear…but this one just didn’t hit like I thought it would.

Why does Mason have to be so cringy? Also, what's with all the spice? I swear Say You Swear was not even half as spicy. Maybe I'm not in the right demographic for this book, but then again Say You Swear was one of my favourite romances so far, it tore me to shreds. And she talks about Cameron's book in the Author's note? No, thanks. Hard pass.

Expectations were high, but this missed the mark.
The timeline jumps were confusing occasionally, and I hate to say it but I found Mason almost pathetic
