I haven’t read a book that has made me FEEL something since finishing Kingdom of Ash. this book tho- OMG did it make me feel something
I did not finish... This is the first Brandy book I didn't like.. at all. I got 32% in and just can't go any further. I've even tried setting it down and coming back to see if it was just the timing but no dice.
This book was the slowest burn that ever burned.
If you like Mariana Zapata's books - you'll like this.
The spice in the final chapters was good, don't get me wrong.
But Payton ran away ALL THE TIME.
Oh any form of conflict in my life? RUN. LEAVE. DISAPPEAR.

Mason wasn't much better tbh

I loved this soo much! Mason and Payton are perfect together. I can’t wait to read the next one in this world.
I would have given this book 5 starts if I didn’t find Payton so annoying at times
