Fallen from the Stars was a good close to the Kraken series. [b:Treasure of the Abyss|37685787|Treasure of the Abyss (The Kraken, #1)|Tiffany Roberts|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1514263821l/37685787._SY75_.jpg|58277468] is still my favourite in the series, but I enjoyed learning a bit more about the IDC in this one and the hunt for the submarine was quite suspenseful. I also liked Thea's AI Kane - their back and forth was quite funny.

Not my favorite of the series, but it was ok. I will preface this by saying I did have some personal stuff going on so I couldn't jump into this book like I normally would. I was hoping this would hook me in like the last installment did in the sense that it would be a nice distraction, but no such luck.

I liked Vasil...nothing really stood out to me about him, but he was just as charming as all the other kracken. The Melania story line really sort of fizzled out in this book. I thought it was going to be a bigger plot point, but it really wasn't. And it was treated as if it was no big deal...both by Vasil and Theo. I don't know...just seemed to me like it should have taken a few more pages to develop that story line.

Theo was somewhat annoying at times. I felt she was a little over confident...which kind of turned me off her character. I'm all for female empowerment, but there was just something off about her character that I don't think was explained very well to help us understand her POV. Kane was adorable...he brought a lot of humor to the story, but I didn't like that he was a part of her. He was like the third wheel in the relationship and it just got to a point where I was annoyed with him always being in the background. I was hoping by the end they would figure out a way to separate them from each other...with out destroying Kane, of course...but it didn't happen.

Overall, I liked this as an addition to the series overall, but it wasn't the strongest installment.

Yay for Vasil's book! This book was a little different than the previous in the series because it's the focus isn't on the Facility or the Watch. For most of the book, Vasil and Theo are stranded on a deserted island after Vasil witnesses her spaceship fall from the sky like a meteor and rescues her. I loved how spunky these two were together. Theo has artificial intelligence embedded into her body that becomes, for lack of a better word, her friend. Kane is snarky and witty and their interactions were so much fun to read.

Vasil is instantly drawn to Theo. He knows about human love, and though it is different from how he was raised, her yearns for it. He wants that emotional and physical connection, and his attraction to Theo makes him think that she'll be perfect for him.

I love how this author wrote their love story. They both has to bend their understanding of love and relationships, and the growth that each character went through was wonderfully written. I've loved reading this Kraken series, and can't wait to dive into more from this author.

I can now say I tried the alien/tentacle erotica thing and after six books I can safely say this is not for me. I will be stopping here and not continuing with this series or anything similar to it for the foreseeable future.
