No era lo que esperaba. Más psicológico que un misterio, la muerte no pasa hasta el 70% de la historia y todo se precipita rapidísimo sin mucho ton ni son. Lo mejor son los personajes y lo reales que parecen. El prota me parece interesante, esa perspectiva de no saber lo que quiere y andar dando tumbos por la vida. El final de la historia me flaquea mucho, el culpable tiene un brote psicótico y confiesa todo. Meh.

i didn't know where the story would go, seemed like a very cheap soap opera until mayhaps the last 1/4 of the book. then it got spicy, confusing, and dark-ish. didn't quite expect how cold Mike would be in the end. he's pretty ruthless. bless the mom.
Not impressed. Although I admit Christie surprised me a bit as well in this novel, I wished quite a lot that the narrator was the one dying instead of the victim.

If the charters are more fleshed out, may be I could have enjoyed it more. (Hey!! The book is more than half a century old!)
As for as the story goes, it's not fresh but still good.
Apart from the narrator there is not solid character to connect to which put me down a bit.
Still always up to read Queen's story any day.

This is one of the later ones, and I had suspicions early on that proved to be correct. Still good, of course, but I like it best when I am shocked by the ending.
